Default fujitsubo header modification

i bought this header used and i just sanded it up a little bit (still havee along way to go to get it the way i want) and i noticed that the b -pipe is gonna be short from the cat, and i did some searching and found out that the fujitsubo headers for the h22 come in 3 pieces. so i was wondering if i could cut the flange (which i think is a donut flange) off the b pipe and just weld on a straight 2.5" pipe from there until the cat and then use a flex pipe connector flange(2.5") to connect to the rest of the piping.

the donut flange on there now is 2.5".

here are some pics of the header to get a better idea of what im thinking about doing with the collector:

If the collector size is 2.5" (donut flange) then why cut it off? Just get a muffler shop to either attach a pipe that fits the measurement for your car to the flange using bolts (recommended) or weld it on.

Nice looking header by the way. Can you do me a favor and measure the height of the B-pipe (in terms if it was attached to the car)?

the two pipes at the bottom, if u let them sit on the floor the same direction when it would be on the car, what is the HEIGHT then?

Thanks
