JDM d15b
I can get a jdm d15b v-tec for 600 in my car and sleeper keeps my other d15b8. only bad thing is that i ahve to keep the stock cx tranny unless i swap it out also. need some help here dont kno what to do... kind of in a tight bind here... jdm for 600 or b20 for 600 and another 1200 for a b16 tranny (hydro) and some more money for a gsr v-tec head for it should i save and spend or spend right now???
if what you saying is LS/Vtec is what you want in the end.. I say screw it. I've been working on a LS/vtec for such a long time now. When you break into a motor like that your going to wanna do gasket/seal kit. Get block bored and honed. Then you gotta worry about the tranny if any sincros are busted causing grinding gear shifting. If I could do it all over again I'd just get a strait up full GSR motor. if you want the bible for LS/Vtec I've made a document it will tell you pretty much all you need to know for it. Here's what I suggest if you can do a D16 Vtec and turbo it that mo will be fast. with proper headwork a SOHC can breath similar to a DOHC. If you can stay with D series it will save you alot of headache in the future. Cause if you break the D16 it's not that bad to pick one up from the junk yard or some online store. Save your money get a Full GSR Expect to replace some gaskets and seals maybe syncros in the tranny. Good luck with whatever you chose. when it come it install day make sure you have money in the bank incase **** happens
