Default 2000 ITR tranny with J4D and LSD stamp, is this the 4.40 or 4.78 FD tranny????

just recently bought it from a H-T member, from what the previous owner said, It's the JDM 4.78fd tranny, but have herd rumors that the J4D stamp on it, is the USDM 4.40 FD tranny......

So plz some experts out there tell me what the hell Final Drive this tranny's got???

Thanks in advanced.....

You probably have either a USDM ITR tranny or a 96 spec JDM tranny. Did he say what year?

A J4D could either be a JDM 96-97 transmission or an USDM ITR transmission, both are identical and have 4.4 final drives. A JDM 98 Spec transmission is a N3E and haa a 4.7 final drive, along with 4th and 5th GSR gears.

J4D = 4.4
N3E = 4.7

since you already bought it slap it on and if you previously had a 4.4 fd tranny you could tell the difference right away if its a 4.7 or a 4.4
