Default Oil loss, white and blue smoke, coolant loss, and black spark plugs. What should I replace?

This is the scenario:

B16A causing problems 1st, The idle was high around 3000 rpm. 2nd, White smoke shot out of the exhaust upon start up and running for 10 minutes. 3rd, Oil in 1,3,and 4 spark plug wholes. 4th, oil can be seen though the spark plug wholes onto of the 1,3 and 4 pistons. 5th, lost coolant and oil on a daily basis. 6th, Bubbles from the radiator spout.

What should I do:

I don't want to change out things I don't have to. Is there a way to check and see if the rings are the problem or the head gasket or both.

I would, but........it is sort of too late. The engine has been removed from the car. What else could I do?

Well as for this post and the other this is going to help on both.

Sounds like you have a headgasket problem.

Since the engine is out......
1. pull the head and look at the head gasket, see if it was leaking or is blown.
2. then look at the cylinder walls. Are they scared?

If it were me and I was going in the engine anyway, I would check these things, and then if everything seemed ok.....
1. Bore (if needed) and hone the block.
2. Get some CTR pistons (either stock bore or overbored)
3. Balance the roating assembley (because of the new piston and having to shave the piston wrist pin area)
4. Get a 1 layer head gasket 11.4 comp ratio or 2 layer gasket 11.1 comp ratio
5. New bearings (rod and crank) Also check and see if the crank journals look good no scaring
6. New seals (rear, front etc)
7. New oil pump since your right there
8. New water pump since your there
9. New timming belt since its about time

Basically then you would have some more power than stock not to mention a new bottom end basically.

This is just my opinion since I have no idea what plans you have for the car and engine, nor do I know the problems the engine may have at the moment.
