the weight of the engine? what with all the accessories? without the accessories? with tranny or without? im interested in why you want to know? it might weigh like 50-100 lbs more than a B series if i were to take a guess. in my opinion, there is no comparison, H series FTW mo matter how you compare them.

i think the weigh of the engine isnt as important as what car you put the engine into...

B18C into a prelude...FTL
B18C into an integra...FTW
H22A into an prelude/integra/civic/hatch/sol/crx...FTW

You get the point.

These are not my numbers and I am not guaranteeing that any of these are correct.

B-Series engine/trans: 406 pounds (questionable)

H = 123lb short block (no head oil pan or any accersories.)
B = 104lb short block (ditto)
D = 100lb short block + oil pan

(All 3 Blocks are built with stock crank, forged rods, forged pistons, and iron sleeves done by benson (H22, D16) and darton (B16). The only thing that is not fair in these pics is that the D has the oil pan on it... wasnt gonna take it off just for this BS.)

H trans = 96lb
B trans = 90lb

b16 longblocks are exactly 280lbs
+ tranny of 90lbs which means its about 370lbs

usually all b16a, b18c are in the 280-325lbs range (that with everything complete....engine, tranny, ecu, harness, aletrnator, starter and half shaft.)

d-series complete are in 200-250lbs range....also the same....

H22a/H23a are in 350-380lbs range....

B20 is 318 lbs

Again I state These are not my numbers and I am not guaranteeing that any of these are correct.

Because you like carrying them around for fun. And your arms are calibrated?

Maybe your legs are calibrated to zero then you pick up the block? Do you have a digital read out?

I just used my floor scale and both the B tranny and H tranny were within 1lb of 81lbs. Both had clutch forks and throw out bearings, no oil. The s80 had an LSD as well, the M2F4 was bone stock.
