Default searched and searched but still have mini-me questions with a y8 head

im tired of reading and seeing all sorts of different info on this swap. there is a realy nice step by step swap using a Z6 head i found in the FAQ section http://crx.honda-perf.org/arti....html so are the steps the same except use all y8 parts? ALSO im buying head studs do i need to get them for the A6 or the Y8???? dont throw the SEARCH answer at me because i have all i want is a simple and solid answer so i dont waste my money on parts i dont need.

You need to use parts that will match the head you are using, which in this case is the Y8. So head studs, timing belt, head gasket should all be Y8 parts. Also, don't forget to pull the oil jet in the block. Good luck with the build.

The point is that we always talked about Matt putting his built b series in there with crv drivetrain, it was a inside joke. I guess you thought that I was really calling it weak.

wrong.

For a6 with y8 head you need:
d15b7 timing belt
d16a6/z6 head studs (with one cutom stud by vtec solenoid..you can special order from ARP)
y8 headgasket

Hey, it's cool no problem. We just launched the new website, the one you looked at, and have been updating it regularly so if you interseted in ordering some parts check it out.

I have a y8 timing belt, a6 head studs, and y8 head gasket on my car a6/y8 setup. Meh, it works. More than 1 way to skin a cat. Everyone here will tell you that won't work though of course.
