Re: i want to swap a y8 head on my z6 what do i need? (scratchy)
to search....theres a really good site for it...Ill post it when I get home (Im at school and don't have my favorites here) Search by a post by BauleyCivic!! He's a mini-me guru
EDIT: Here...I held your hand and did it for you
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=554053
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=635580
Those two should tell you everything you need to know homie!
Edit 2: Okay, after looking even closer, just don't do it..OBD1 to OBD2....and also, the z6 head flows better. Keep the z6 head and use the y8 intake mani.

Once you port the Y8 head, there is no reason not to run it.

Once you start porting, its whatever head.....if you stay stock then Z6 if you choose to port a head, go with the Y8, because the Y8 head actually has a better designed combustion chamber.

If the porter knows what they are doing...the Y8 is better because of the combustion chamber design.
Just because the head is ported doesn't mean it is done right.
I see what the point is though......and it might just be easier to weld the Z6 combustion chamber.
