Default The Oil Rings in my motor are probably Gummed up...

so i have a problem which i guess is common to 4g63's. now of course, this is a mitsu engine and not a honda engine...but it could be any engine.

with higher mileage engines...the oil ring can get clogged with oil...which essentially makes it less capable of functioning properly.

can anyone think of any type of oil/solution that i could pour into the combustion chamber to possibly unclog the oil ring.

and i've done a compression check...and the engine has 150-155 across the board...which means the compression rings are still in fairly good shape.

a friend suggested marvel mystery oil...i was thinking brake cleaner...or some type of alcohol based solution...

Seafoam is pretty good stuff for cleaning out carbon buildup when sucked in through a vac hose, and you can use it in the crankcase to free up sticky lifters, etc too. You might want to give it a try. If you put it directly into the combustion chamber, just make sure to keep the amount on the small side.

whenever you put anything in the spark holes be sure to get most of it out
before you reinstall the spark plugs...
