I have 4 free oil changes from honda, the card they gave me for oil changes after 7000, 15000, 22500, and 30000 miles. Should i change it before 7000? because i see alot of you changing it at like 3000 or 4000.

 

It says keep it in there until you hit like 15% on the oil life gauge i had 4,100 miles when i hit 20% oil life then i changed it its up 2 you really atleast wait 3 k tho its a special break in oil from the factory to start good luck.

 

It's totally dependant on your maintence minder. It calculates oil life based on multiple sensor inputs and determines when you are due for an oil change. Typically its around 5k miles but it depends on your driving habits. I'd say wait til its at 15%-5%.

 

I change my oil round 3,500 to 4,000 but thats because I drive everywhere. I barely broke a year on my car and its already 25K. Yea sad reality knowing I bought it at half a mile.

 

My oil change light didn't come on until ~6200 miles.

 

I change mine when the maintenance minder says my oil life is 15%

 

The dealership said not to change it the first time till 5000. After that, 15%. That's just what they told me, and had on the sticker on my windsheild
