Installing a new shift knob?
Under the Shift **** you will fine a nut mentioned above. Loosen the nut by turning it clockwise. Then unscrew the ****. If the **** you purchased came with a nut, check the thread pitch before you try to use it. I used my stock nut because the pitch was different on the nut I got with the Skunk 2 Titanium **** I got, which did not make sense since the pitch on the **** itself was correct. Screw the **** down as far as it will go, then back it off until the top emblem is straight. Then tighten the nut up while holding the **** so the emblem stays straight.
Btw, if you remove the nut, the nut goes on first, before you screw on the ****.
