Default Wiring Harness Question (cut harness)

I'm i the process of getting my theft recovery ITR put back together. I have not had a lot of time to spend on the car yet. The only major problem I've seen so far with this rebuild is the wiring harness under the hood. I am asking for some opinions here as to what I should do. Should I replace this part of the harness? Should I buy a JDM harness and cut that up and splice it in my existing wiring? Drop in a carbed 350 that dosen't need wiring?

Here are some pictures:

How the car currently looks sitting in the garage

Engine bay:

Cut harness on the passenger side

Cut harness on the driver's side

Interior

The ECU harness looks to be fine

On a side note, has anyone used this type of paint before?

I plan on painting the cage with this stuff

Let me know what you guys think I should do about the harness.

Just leave me enough room to fit my hands in there and I'll be happy to help out.
Looks like we got time before it must be done, I call you when I'm coming.

Im not to sure how helpful this is, but if you do decide to repair your harness I could take pics of my harness for you. It is slightly hacked up but no where as near as bad as yours. I probably can take some pics this weekend for you to see if it helps. Also, I have the Helms electrical manual somewhere, which i can lend to you.

I know it doesn't have to be a JDM harness but they are MUCH cheaper since you can't really use them in a USDM car. Are the harness plugs the same on the LS/RS/GSR as the ITR? I should be ok using any 96-99 since they are all OBDIIa. What about 00-01?

yes they are, but you'll have to run the VTEC wires just like when you swap a c1-c5 into an LS. Also depending on what year LS harness, you may have to run another extra wire for the tach. Simple as can be though

the plugs from 94-2001 are exactly the same between the firewall harness and engine harness.

I would solder them, this is cheap build on a budget, correct? I will peel back the tape and plastic and take some decen pics.... shouldnt be too hard. Hell, I'll even try to go to the junk yard and hack away a harness out of a obd2a teg.

After getting all the pictures..... You could go either way, besides a few extra plugs, I dont know what the difference between a gsr/ls and a ITR dash harness are..

soldering all that just seems iffy to me...could be an easy fix or a nightmare waiting to happen.

I may have the plugs you need i have a jdm itr harness but i cant remember if it still has the dash side of the harness connected to the plugs or not.

Looks like it had a VAFC installed. Overall, it's all there. I'm glad they didn't snip those wires too.

Brad, I was going to rewire the GSR a few months back. I would say find the plugs if at all possible. A complete main harness is not cheap (and you may not need the whole thing) as you know and a GSR harness is not exactly plug and play unfortunately.

I can not tell, any interior wires cut too?
