Trying to swap 96 h23 in my 91 accord what i need?
well i was told its direct swap...but to get into more detail
i got a complete h23 obd2 longblock
im going to stay automatic so im assuming i use my same trans and axels
i want to keep my AC and PS which brackets would i need to use?
basicly i need a parts list to make it completely running .. thanks i did search but it none of them pertains to keeping AC/PS and staying auto imonly doing this cuz my accord has 225k miles and its prolly gonna go soon its my daily driver and i got the motor for cheap

The brackets should bolt up. There will be like one or two holes that dont line up, but you can still use it with the ones that do line up. I'm not too sure of how direct a swap it is. I'm guessing if it is a direct swap, you can just use the h23 mounts. You can use your same tranny, but i think the speedometer will be off by a little. Personally, I would get a new one to go with the h23. Also, you will need a new ecu.
If you're just looking for a replacement motor and not power, I'd say just pick up a replacement motor. F-series is much more reliable than H... cheaper too.
Edit: Sorry I didnt see that you already had the motor.

no, the tranny is not gonna cause the speedo to be off.
showtymers619,
go to the Accord FAQ sticky and scroll down to the Swaps section. There is a link to a H22 into a 4th gen, read that first. There is a little in there about the H23, besides, a H22 and H23 swap are going to be very similar.

ive read that already .. now im more concerned about the tranny, id jus like to see who has done the swap .. will the auto parts front the trans bolt up to the h23? .. so do i use all the mounts from the h23 or the f22? .. i know all the b series stuff .. and what distributor do i use?does the f22 bolt up to the h23?

Yeah, the tranny will bolt right up. Look on the h22 swap guide, I think the h22 and h23 use the same mounts.
As for the dizzy, I know that the h23 uses external coil. If the f22 dizzy is external coil and the same obd number as your h23 ecu, I'm pretty sure it will work.

ok, you will have no problem with the trans. The bellhousing will bolt up. Make sure that you take the flexplate and torque converter from the F22 and bolt it to the H23. You said that you have an OBD2 H23, and your car is OBD1, so you either need a OBD2 ecu or a OBD1 dizzy.
As for what mounts to use, i'm pretty sure that they are the same. However, if they are not, then you will most likly need the F22 mounts.
You will need to buy or make a wire harness. You need to wire up Vtec and a knock sensor and things of that nature. Unless you plan on running a chiped ECU and will delete some functions like the knock sensor.
Hope that helps. I'm doing an H22A1 swap myself right now, but i'm building the motor for some decent NA hp

I dont plan to run AC, however, I did test fit the bracket. The F22 bracket will line up 3/4 bolts, but it doesnt make the compressor stick out as much. I am pretty sure that you will need to use the H series bracket. As for the power steering, i've been told you need the USDM prelude (1994-97) High pressure line, and you can cut your own low pressure return line. I cant say that for sure, because I havent gotten that far yet. I hope this helps
you can get a conversion harness for your ecu. at http://www.phearable.net
Is your h23 jdm or usdm? If usdm, you don't have to worry about vtec because those didn't come vtec.
Good luck
