d16y7 motor swap making me go "huh?"

i swapped a motor from a 96 civic dx into a 2000 civic dx. I used the 96 harness with the 96 ecu. Should this give me any problems? the 96 is obd2a and the 2000 is obd2b, but since i used the 96 harness with the 96 ecu everything should be ok, right?
