Cooling fan will not come on. help please.

Default Cooling fan will not come on. help please.

i took all my ac stuff out but my fan nevers comes on anymore. maybe it didnt before and i didnt notice. what could be wrong? i checked the fuse, not blown. i think the plugs are hooked up right.?? any input guys?

would also like to know.. it sucks having to turn the heater on full blast so i dont over heat.

thats the weird thing mine doesnt come close to overheating it takes forever to warm up then whenever im coming downhill or punch it the temp gauge goes all the way down.^(btw i have spoon rad cap) if that makes any difference. it did make my car run alot cooler though

is it bad when your fan doesnt come on?? its not overheating? maybe its something to do with taking out the ac?? anyone got info.

sounds to me like your thermostat is stuck open.. i recently replaced mine and mine used to do the same stuff.. if i went fast(80km/h +) my temp would go all the way down if i turned the heat on. your car probably doesnt get up to temp enoughf ro the fan to come on or it does and just doesnt do it often enough and you dont notice.

i replaced the thermostat like 5 months ago with a brand new one. think its defective? should i replace it again? i was like 5 bucks or something like that

if you did it yourself.. you shoudl be able to just take it out and put it in boiling water and see if it opens
sounds like its still not closing though..

There's plenty of threads on this... SEARCH

But ..have you tried to see if your thermo switch ( fan switch ) in functioning? Locate the fan switch on the backside of the block, disconnect the connector, put a jumper wire between the two pins on the connector. Key ON Engine OFF see if it runs......
