JDM ITR motor help!
hey everyone
i currently drive a VW GTI 1.8T and im selling it, however i want to buy a 99 GS but do a JDM front end and B18C (JDM ITR) motor to it ( JDM Half-cut purchase) now my question is wat amount of boost can this car handle SAFELY ! and wat power am i looking at !
and if i go All motor how much work do i need and wat do i need to do to make it hit low to mid 13's !
any help would be nice

if you are wanting to boost then why spend the money on an itr which has a higher cr?
safe boost with the cr of an itr ~6-8psi. possibly 10 but 6-8 would be safe.

well i was thinking
GSR on boost ! .. stock GSR with 8-10psi safely
however wat i wanna know is wat do i need to do to a ITR engine to make it hit nice mid 13's !

well i was reading and my cuzins buddy has a GSR Turbo and hes more than happy !
but i was wondering mainly wat i would have to do to make a ITR motor in a DC2 run 13's ... if i go all motor

Learn to drive, strip everything from the front seats back out, and get i/h/e...

i know how to drive! ... i was driving a Stage III Boosted GTI
and i dont wanna gut my car out !
....so wat can i do motor buliding wise !
cams, cam gears, I/H/E, Injectors, 65MM TB, And Tune ... wat would that give me !
well starting with a car that weighs less than 2600 pounds might be a good idea
but none the less i belive you could do naturily aspirated pretty easy, take off the head and have it port and polished, after market springs/retainers installed, drop in some nice cams, get an import builders itr manifold, bigger throttle body and get it dyno tuned on some hondata and you should be doing A-ok

dude itr engine is good but its expensive id reather use gsr or ls vtec that makes good hp and runs almost the same and y spend about 2gs more on the itr engine?

And I've driven a 600hp Supra, what's your point ?

A stock ITR has already been proven to run 13's stock. ActiveAero did it, he's on this forum. I think that'll end this thread since all you wanna do is hit 13's.
And an ITR runs 13's with a great driver.
