1991 2.2l ex 4 door rims...?
hey im looking at possible getting a set of 17" rims for my 1991 accord wondering if these will fit without any problems and if anyone has any prefrances to manufactures? (new at the whole car scene so bear with me ha!)
whats the bolt pattern? stud size? are you going to throw wheel spacers on? How much are you willing to spend? what kind of tires are you going to buy with those rims? dude these are all questions you need to ask yourself before purchasing rollers. do some research on your car first. Then look at different styles of rims. Find an example of what you want your car to look like and repeat. It all depends on your taste. some people love the rare hard to find rims. i.e.rennsports, ssr's, fushimi's. others like the look of mass produced rims like enkei, konig, motegi, american racing(EW). Its your cake decorate as you like!
ha sorry but these are all things i am not 100% sure about stuff i do need a hand with im at work right now but all i know is that is is a 4 bolt pattern dont know exact specs. was hoping to go around 1000 if possibly with rubber?
ive got a pair of 16 in. motegi mr7 for the street and a set of 18 in. motegi mr7 for show for my 90 accord. the tires are 205/50r16 and 225/40r18. my car isnt lowered, but i havent had one single issue with them hitting anything. you can do what you want, but I would suggest going with a 205/40r17 rim and tire package. preferably something from Motegi or Enkei. hope this helps.

205/40R17 is a retarded size. if your going to use a 17" you need a 215, but a 225 would be better, if not, you will overload the tire, as it wont be sitting on the sidewall properly. i've been down this road many times at work.

how can anyone be recommending tire widths if you don't even know what the width of the rim he wants to get?
OP,
The bolt pattern of any 90-02 Accord 4cyl. is 4x114.3
What is the width, offset and bolt pattern on the rims you want to get? Do you have a set in mind? More info will always get you a better responce.

personally, I wouldn't go higher than 16" for CB7's (90-93 Accord). The chassis is designed for soft suspension and you will feel a very high increase in sound and vibrations in your car. if anything go with wider tires for increased grip. with 16X7.5 wheels you can perfectly fit 205/50-16 tires. (Potenza's my favorite) enjoy.
if you are getting new 17" wheels go with wider wheels, 7" or 7.5"...they really look good on our cars...
the only issues might be that you might need to get spacers and maybe check your rear fender for clearance.
I say go with 17X7 or 17X7.5 with 205/45-17...the more tire wall the better ride.
here's a article I found in a High Performance Handling Handbook I just acquired specifically dealing with the 90-93 CB7 Honda Accords: enjoy

yeah man...the above modified CB7 actually was capable of 0.932G which is much better than the last gen M3 which constantly got around 0.88G...
not bad for a 15 year old family sedan.
with the new Potenza's, a set of coilovers, and a complete set of sway bars...that number should go up even higher...dare I say 1.0G
