Best Advice to spend a "G" on my rex,mostly motor

Like it said,i got about a grand to spend,i wanna mostly freshen up my motor a lil....what do you guys think?? i already got things like exhaust and springs and little **** i dunno

-Not sure if you can get away with some new pistons (88-89 integra) for that budget, but if so go with that, if not get a decent clutch

yup all that i need to save up to do that also

umm how about list exactly what you have..
What do you really want out of the car, you can do alot with 1K for just the motor.

I have those pistons "d16a1" condition should be good havent seen them since i swapped in my a6

Why on the motor?
the motor is one of the most durable items from the car.
given that the newest CRXs are already 16 years old, I'd spend the money on rotten goods like rubber bushings, brake lines, brake pads. Good tires<biggest difference, then get an alignment.
Give it a good go over you'll feel the difference.
Whatevers left you can stash under the mattress as an "engine" savings fund.
