i been wondering how can you tell if my jdm type r tranny has lsd??? got it from a friend for a real cheap price and searched but couldnt find no info on it....can someone help with pictures or something on how it should look....ive been told to turn the rotor and if both move i have lsd.....did it but both didnt move.....can someone help me plzzzz.thanks

With transmission in neutral, spin one wheel by hand and the other spins the same direction. Both spin very freely.

With transmission in gear (driveshaft fixed), the wheel is much more difficult to spin, plus the other wheel rotates in the OPPOSITE direction

i tryed the first step but didnt spin...how can i also tell if its a true type r tranny???

are the wheels off the ground?

What didn't spin? lol - SOMETHING should have spinned..

Oh, and yeah - make sure you jack the car up.
