oh forgot to add my car is buried deep in snow and winterized and it would be a huge pain right now to try to take off my header and see if this fits.

Not as much of a pain in the *** as it'll be when you finish the manifold and realize the flange is on backward

timing belt side hole is low i think.

So you have never built a manifold before and you are just gonna weld some stuff together and hope the turbo and wastegate fit in your engine bay? I think you should wait for spring so you can fit it properly. All you are saving by doing it now is 2-3 hrs of welding, plus that gives you more time to practice welding.

well heres the deal. I got the kit for practically nothing. I am taking a welding course and am getting so bored of just practicing beads, and also am using up alot of materials in the shop so i thought i would try a project. I already welded an intake for a friend, and now want to try a manifold. Reason im asking which side to use and seeming to be lazy is cuz i wanted to maybe tack it together by next class which is wed. Today and yesterday i was sick, so i cant even go out and unbury my car/work on it etc. Tommorrow i have a feeling i will be even more sick. This is just a practice piece which i dont care if everything fits 100% or not, even tho im aiming for it to be functional

I guess sounding by peoples judgements nobody's 100% sure, so i will just wait it out i guess and keep welding random pieces of metal together at the shop

if its b series the higher hole is on the distributor side, if its for a d series it doesnt matter its symetrical.
