Default How can you tell if its a Type R tranny

the sticker is off and doesnt have the lsd markings so idk how to tell what tranny it is even if its non lsd how do i know what it came off?

Only way to absolutely know is to crack open the transmission and count gear teeth.

But in a pinch, the differential tells a little tale.

If you can see straight through the differential hole, it has an LSD and is more than likely an ITR transmission. Or someone put an LSD into a non-ITR transmission.

If there is a bar in the middle of it, it is an open differential and isn't an ITR transmission.
