lol well..yeah kinda. Did you guys do that popeyes thing last week with the 8 peices of chicken for $4.99?!!! too bad its over..or i'd still be maxin.
The rear suspension is not a double wishbone. It has one control arm on the bottom that resembles a wishbone. A double wishbone is like the front suspension where there are two wishbones (hence...double wishbone). One upper and one lower. The rear has one wishbone control arm (lower) and has other LINKS. A toe LINK, and an upper LINK (or control arm...doesnt resemble a wishbone, so they call it a LINK). 3 links. meaning multi-link. Journalists dont nessacarily know the right terminology. Ask suspension experts...they will tell you its a multi-link. It should say that on the honda website as well, if im not mistaken. God ..i said the word link too many times. Now it doesnt make any sense to me. Link...link....link....l-i-n-k....is that even a word?
Edit: Nevermind, Mr. Projekt did get that off the honda website. Although, it still doesnt make any sense to me. The rear suspension only has one wishbone, right? The upper control arm is just a bar type link isnt it? I dunno maybe i'll go look under there. "under where?!" ha! I rule

looks like double A arm to me...

that extra arm is necessary for keeping the wheel pointed straight. it doesnt mean its not a double wishbone anymore.
multilink is more of what you find on an accord.

even trailing arm suspension on EFs was considered double wishbone as it simulated the performance.

allright allright you got me. It's a motherfreaking double wishbone. F#$k you guys! lol jk.
And just because the EF was CONSIDERED a double wishbone rear, doesnt mean it was. lots of things are considered something they're not. For example: people CONSIDER the EVO or the ITR a sports car. lol the EF was definitely multi link. I know cuz i rallied one

The rear is still an A-arm (aka wishbone), though it does have a rear toe link that might have confused you.

no, i just didnt remember the upper control arm being shaped like that. I thought it was all a bunch of rods and links except for the lower control arm, you know S13/14 style. lol the last time i was under my S was like 3 months ago. It's been cold and snowy...so it feels like 8 years. I havent even driven it in like 2 months or so

The EF (and EG, DA, DC, EK) have a rear suspension that has "double wishobones" (SLA) suspension--but as was pointed out it also has a trailing arm with a toe control link towards the front--I don't know how you would classify it.
One production car that comes to mind (I am sure there are quite a few others) with verbatim double wishbone suspension is the earlier Miatas (probably the new ones as well). On both the front and rear suspension they have true double wishbones--no trailing arms or toe control rods.
The 01+ Civics and 02+ RSXs use a MacPherson strut system in the front. The MacPherson strut uses a lower control arm, but the upper lateral location is actually handled by the actual strut body- that is why struts are much of the time thicker so they can absorb side loads (like on a Subaru)-so it not only controls damping but is actually a loaded "arm". There is no seperate upper control arm.

some good information....totally off topic though. CHECK OUT THE BRAINS ON THAT GUY! is that what you were looking for?! lol jk im just being rude. However, on the 88-99 civic and DA DC....the rear suspension doesnt resemble a double wishbone in any way. The lower control arm is a bar...the upper arm is a bar...then there's a long trailing arm in the shape of a ***** with a toe link that is a bar. where does the "wishbone" come in?
If a miata has no rear toe control link...what's making the wheels stay straight? My friend has a miata, and im 99.999999% sure there's a toe link. There's gotta be. Otherwise the wheel would flop from side to side...like a delicious dolphin. mm mmmmm love that dolphin. The front wheels are held by the tie rods and steering rack. Think about it. Then get back to me. We could do lunch and ....feel the synergy? Im soo hollwood.
McPherson struts suck ***. for everything. Except for cutting costs at the manufacturer level. then they're
. Avoid them.
