Default 96 lx exhaust

If i were going to do a cat back exhaust, what should i be looking at for true power gains? I don't want a fart can, and i want something thats throaty but not ricer. I'm also thinking of maybe dual exhausts too.

I would say around 5 whp. Maybe not even that. I have a megan racing cat-back it sounds really deep not whiney, as long as you get a cat-back that has a resonator in it, it will sound good on an accord. Most of the exhausts out there for the accord are "fartcans" but they dont sound like that really.

Look at flowmaster i guess if you want throaty. I know I saw somewhere they sell cat-backs for accords.

Good luck. Later

are you getting it custom made or are you buying a pre-fabbed system like APEXi or Greddy?

The resinator will go between the cat and the first bend (that goes towards the passenger side of the car). You're probably going to want 2.25-2.5 inch diameter piping. You can buy mandrel bent piping from KTeller I believe and then have it all welded up for you with your muffler of choice.

well i wanted to go the easiest way, but i have access to a shop and lift and such. Just not anywhere to get piping bent. I think i will buy the prebent and do it myself. I even have a welder so i think i should be set

Apexi WSII or Greddy SP2 is probably what I'd get if you don't want a fartcan.

i like those two. They aren't too big, do borla or anyone like that make exhausts. and whats the price difference of doing it yourself or getting a muffler and having a shop do the piping?
