Default Found a good FPR for cheapz!

I'm running low on cash, but I desperatly need a fuel pump and FPR for my car. I was browsin all over the place looking for something decent, for not too much. I finally stumbled upon something that looks really really nice for the money.

Here she is! What do you think?

walbro 255lph pump 100.00 shipped from just about anyone and takes 30 minutes to install.

As far as a fpr the B&M ones are ok. Check this out for price comparison.

AEM although you pay for the name they are good quality. Aeromotives are good.

Even though you are low on cash you don't want to cheap out on the fuel system.
Sorry

Yeah, the B&M one that you gave me the link to is a POS. A friend of mine had one and it leaked and leaked and wouldnt keep good pressure. I know you're going to say he installed it wrong, but hes a reputable mechanic. If you have any doubts, his name is Joe Riley, and hes been in the since the DFH days.

I'm tradding my SAFC for the walbro like you suggested. I saw some other products but I didn't like them, and wasn't going to trust them.

No need to be sorry, we're in 2 completely different situations. I can either buy alright parts now and save my motor, or I can wait to get money and run the risk of blowing the motor I already dished out as a lot of money for.

Buy cheap parts for the moment and replace them later, or blow my motor now with less then 5k miles on it. I think I'll buy the cheap parts and live with them for a while!

i personally would look into the aem or aero units. dont want go cheap and cause a engine fire...with something that is cheap and leaks, on the new 5k motor..just buy it once and done. just my thought on the matter.

I'm not sure if you saw my post abou the cheap B&M setup. Its just the cap of the actual fpr, not the whole thing.

The aeromotive one is good quality, but I dont like all the lines running all over the place, doesnt look good IMO. I do like the AEM one, but dont have $200 for it. I believe that the one I purchased will be fine. It looks like it's made well.

I'll let you know when I get it.

I am not sorry. Just apologizing that life is unfair and if you really want to save your motor than you will stop driving it and wait until you can have a good quality part to save your ***.

And our situations aren't that different. I am just as broke as the next guy and every cent of my money in my car is for a good cause. But then I don't care about appearance. Only performance and reliability.

Now when you go to sell the 70.00 unit and only get 35.00 for it used and still have to come up with 200.00 for a better one you just paid 235.00 for it. Instead you could have waited a week or so and got one for 170.00 or less and saved 70.00.

Just my opinion though. Good luck with your new purchase.

B20VTEC and I'm currently using the stock LS FPR.

BTW, where is the best place to buy a walbro pump? Would any 1992-2000 Civic pump work, or do I need one for a Del Sol?

Yeah, I'm looking at a few online and I see $100 shipped brand new. Was yours used?

I have bigger injectors, so aftermarket fuel pump and FPR are necessary. And yes, I'm getting tuned in (hopefully) 2 weeks on chromepro.

I run 255 lph walbro, crome pro and will be installing overkill RC 550's and I will be rocking the stock fpr. I thought about getting an adjustable to get a little more out of the 240's but since I won't be keeping them then squash that.

Plus with crome if you get a tune done and get the adjustable later and add say 10 pounds at 0 vacuum or wot then you can easily make the adjustments in crome free as well. All it does is readjust the fuel maps to show more psi in fuel.

Not a huge ordeal.
