You must have paid a grip. When I called and asked about their basic stg 1 service they said they only do stage 2.

Kinda of turned me off to them, but your tranny looks great.

I love haters What do you have?

Now for the positive comments, I got gearspeeds type 2 rebuild, it includes a quaife, new oem bearings, sleeves, seals, carbon coated synchros and a couple of gears that they had to replace. I think they also put the cases in a media tub to get a nice finish. I paid alot but it is def worth it.

I got mine 4 months ago and it's currently running great. It's a polished H23 with Quaife LSD. Once I get my EMS working I'll see how much it can take

I think it's really funny that they put "carbon coated" synchro's in there coz i've been calling once a week for the last 4 months trying to buy synchro's from them & they haven't got any in yet, they said that they are probably about 30-60 days away still.

Gearspeed gets a from us. They do great work, from experience.

and to this guy, he has a legitimate comment. The OP didnt say much if he's tried it out yet or anything like that. I'm sure 93supercoupe was just asking for a more detailed review.

nothing wrong with this comment guys, stop being ********, the man has a point. there is no tech here, and you cant tell quality just by looking at it. you cant really talk about quality until youve driven it hard for a while and have something you can compare it to, this is just logic, if my statement bothers you im sorry but its the truth. congrats on your tranny though, i hope its as bad *** as you say

i use gear-speed parts on all the trannys i rebuild. i think their parts are great and their service is fantastic. they keep in touch with you on everything. some of my parts were on back order and they called me every day to let me know on how things were moving.all the people i rebuild for they love the finished product. thumbs up for gear-speed.

James told me that all the carbon synchros that they have left are being used in their rebuilds. I don't know who you takled to or emailed over there but James def does'nt come off like a dick. I know this is the wrong forum but does it really matter. All the new topics in here latley are noobs asking stupid questions about how much boost their stock bottom end will take and what turbo they should buy.
And to Supercoupe, My bad for snapping alittle bit, my info was vaegue and I should've included more info in the op. I Got a buddy that helps me keep the theives away, his name is CLIFFORD lol.

So it's a basic rebuild? How much did it cost? I'm just wondering how it compares to the cost of a brand new trans. I bought my new ITR trans for $1650 plus shipping ($50) a couple of years ago.

92DA does not want to say but he paid $2xxx dollars their stage 1 is like $1200 plus a quaife $895, all that = $$$$$$$$ I was turned off when they told me a $1200 rebuild would only replace damaged or worn parts that's pretty expensive considering not all rebuilds are gonna to be the same.
