are you talking about setting the timing? or changing the belt altogether?
if its just setting the timing it is easy to do all u need is a decent timing light and a jumper to stick in the service connector. As for the belt i would bring it somewhere to get it changed, but thats me i know it is not that difficult but my patience dissapears sometimes when i work on my car adn bad stuff happens. you should also get the water pump changed to if you are putting a new belt on. oh yea and usually shops will charge between 350-500 to change, i paid 450 for timing belt, waterpump, cam sealand plug, crank seal and the other 2 belts to be changed.

The answer is 1, and the crank pulley has a mark for it

i just finished with the timing when i started it. it didnt wanted to start then i took out a spark plug and it was filled with gasoline and the i started it again and this time it turned on for a minute or two and then it died so i took all the plugs out and when i took out the third plug smoke was coming out. does any one know what happened?

also if the head gasket is leaking oil. will it prevent the car from starting i mean like will it start?

tomorrow i will disassemble everithing just to check.

Probably needs a valve lash adjustment.

But from the way you're describing it, I SERIOUSLY think you need to have a professional look at it. You're risking screwing it up even more by not knowing what you're doing.

If you insist on working on it yourself, you need a repair manual so you can learn how to do stuff.

Probably needs a valve lash adjustment.

i was about to do that but i also need to replace the head gaskets its leaking to much oil. other than that everithing seems to be working perfectly.

do you know how much an engine swap is.
bcuz my buddy said he is going to install me his b16a onto my 90 integra for $1500 parts and labor included.
