Sorry no pics.

But, regarding the drivers side CV Joint. My old one got a tear in the inner joint boot, so naturally replaced it.

I have perviously used Raxles on the passenger side and have had great results, so I ordered one for the drivers side.

It arrived and we installed it fine. So I lower the car and drive off, and notice that upon acceleration it pulls to the left. Hmm, so naturally I assumed it was an axle issue as that is usually the culprit.

So raise the car back up, and if you put your hand on the inner joint, where it goes into the interm. shaft it has play back and forth.

I know there is suppose to be general play if you push it from side to side alittle, but this was in and out about 1/4". Like you could feel it go in slightly, then out.

It hasn't slid out or anything.

Cliffnotes: Is the drivers side inner CV joint suppose to have about 1/4" play in and out of the intermed. shaft?

Ok, for clearification purposes...

Is this play between the 2 shafts like you could have the intermidiate in one hand, and half in the other and you can twist them separate ways 1/4" or you can push the axle farther into the trans or hub 1/4" ?

 

I can push the axle further into the intermediate shaft a 1/4" then pull it back out 1/4".

No twisting involved.

 

Do I really need to post some pics of some new wheels??
