Motor shakes at high rpm shifting, but fine under 6k?
hey guys,so i havnt let me em1 swaped b18c1 for a hard run in a while,i was on my way to a friends house, car was warmed up..push hard to 7900,when i shift theres a jerk back and forth, like a big shake almost,i didnt let the clutch out to fast...up to 8k on 2nd to 3rd...same god damn shake in the whole car, like it feels like my car isnt smoothly going through and im losing power as a result...i have a new exedy stage 1 clutch in it,and the motor mounts are b16 mounts...i was wondering if the 1.8 liter would have that effect on a car thats used to handling 1.6....and advice or guide will help alot, thanks

Just take a peek at them and see if any part of them are snapped. For the rear one you might need to poke your hand down and feel for it.
yeah like everyone basically said i would check the mounts first, when you start bumping out of gears thats when you know they are definately shot. I had this problem in my 98 EJ6 and found it a good enough reason to shell out the cash for hasport mounts or energy suspension bushings. I would go with the hasport bushings because the energy bushings you have to cut to fit in your mounts. Don't replace the rear transmission mount with either one, use a factory mount available at autozone or advance or else the engine will be shaking the teeth out of your head. If you do this and its still shaking pretty badly id start shopping for new engines.
