starting problems
I washed the engine the night before last and the car would not start, found some water in the distributor cap, dried it with a towel and walla. Went home parked the car, the next mornign the car will not start, I turn the key and I get a click or two but that's it. I am taking the battery to Sears and have it checked out. I checked everything and i did not leave any lights on, I turn on the lights now and they do not seem dimmed as if the battery was low. Just wanted to run this by you guys, in case anyone can think of anything in case the battery is good, which will mean the problem is somewhere else.

Maybe cranking during the no start condition ran down the battery, and then the trip home wasn't long enough to recharge the battery once you got it started?
Or, water got into the alternator and it was/is not putting out enough current to recharge the battery?
Or, the Die-Hard did?
