Default Clear lights

I looked through the "where to buy" thread but I don't think that's what I'm looking for. To finish the exterior of my car I want to have the clear/blue light for my headlights, like the color of newer model Acuras. I also want clear corner lights... my question is..

Do I just replaced the bulbs on the head lights? and the outside of the corner lights? I looked on passwordjdm and when I did find some corner lights they were like $130, I don't think it should be that much. I could be wrong though...

You need HID's for that affect, you can either buy a plug and play kit or retro fit the oem system into your car.

also for corner lights look on ebay search 88-89 crx corner lights they have tons to choose from.

the plug and play kits will look like this usually

a retro fit done right will look like this usually

That's exactly what I want. I'd take either, but the bottom is what I prefer.

Where would I purchase either one from?

well the best price you'll find for a hid plug and play is here http://xenonpimp.com/

and for the bottom picture you'll have to find some at a junkyard or off a wrecked car..just have to be carefull cause alot are stolen.

It seems it should be a lot simpler, and cheaper. I'm confused as to why the bulbs can't be changed or simply the headlights changed out.

it's because its a completly different lighting system..i mean you could get those cool blue or whatever they're called bulbs from a autostore and put those in if you want but it will never achieve the same look as hid's..not to mention hid's run alot cooler.

read up how an hid system works http://auto.howstuffworks.com/question387.htm

projector lights with the plug and play looks better then with the stock headlights,,but its still not going to look like a retrofit..really the only thing you can do is install everything and drive up to a wall,,and adjust the headlights as low as possible while still having light so you don't blind me when you're behind me

no. you will still have hot spots all over the place and will manage to blind everyone, including very old women

Yeah, the projectors have a very narrow focus point. If you want "poor man's HIDs", get some silverstar bulbs, they're one of the best upgrades I've gotten IMO.

Ok, last question on lights (i really hope). My spring break is this coming week so I get to spend a lot of time on my crx. I'm going to take apart the dash, mainly just the console to fix the dreaded cracking in the heat/AC controls. Is it possible to put a type of white light there? Or will it get too hot? If it's like the headlights I assume that could be an issue.

Any auto parts store or hell I even think WalMart carries them. And what do you mean about putting a "white light" somewhere? In your climate control module? If so, you won't have any problems with any bulb you put in there, they're too small to do anything.

I just want white, clear, blue whatever color it is deemed I want that color throughout my car. I'm not a big fan of the normal color (which I will not describe as it leaves room for further confusion)
