My 1990 civic is fitted with an HID kit and no matter what setting of the lights (off, Amber, low beam) the corner lights and tail lights remain on. Is it because the HIDs were hacked into the the lighting system?

 

are the lights Dim looking ? if so that might be a ground issue .

 

Thank you for your suggestion, I will have to take a look at my grounds. My HIDs are bright, and I think the tail lights and corners are the correct brightness. Is there any other causes which would make the tail lights and corner lights stay on in the "off" position on the light stalk?

 

Either the switch , ground , or harness is looped to ground

I didn't find any issues with the grounds. Not really looking to dig into the harness to find an issue. Its not a safety issue so ill just leave it how it is.
