just saying hi and a civic question

hello im new here, im looking to buy a OBDII civic that has only two "monitors" i dont know if ex, dx or etc. I used to drive a 97 EK hatch that only had 2 but idk how to identify it. VIN # or ??

are we talking about the O2 sensors when you say "monitors"? if so, i think all OBDII civics have 2. i could be wrong tho

Since when are o2 sensors called moniters?

no monitor/readiness are test that the ecu uses to check systems/componets on a car, o2 sensors, o2 heaters, AC, catalyst, misfires etc

most of the civics are pretty much the same. obd2 is pretty much saying it has more parts for emmissions. but can i ask why you want only " two monitors"?
