Default what type of camshafts can i use with jackson racing supercharger?

i want to get a jackson racing supercharger for my gsr motor. but before i do i want to get some info on it.. what type of camshafts can i use turbo cams or can i use for allmotor cams. like the zex 57200 because those are the once i already have or like blox hsl cams? or do i have to get some turbo cams? and also does supercharger give you lots of problems or no? is it worth the hassle and the money what do you guys think?

most people will say don't do it and go turbo but it's still fun to be supercharged.. It's just a diff. kinna fun.. But as for the cams I would like to know that too.. I heard Type R cams will be good... Also you'll need the VTEC to kick in earlier...

I remember seeing on here somewhere that GSR cams work well with the JRSC...

Just look at JacksonRacings Website on thier Dyno Sheets for VTEC integras

The GSR puts out more power then the Type-R - both w/ same boost pullys - 6 p.s.i (and the type-r has higher compression...)

Anyway, this is just what i heard... have no experiance hands on with one to tell you for sure...

but, i do know you want something with low overlap, (i think most aggressive NA cams have higher overlap?) - which is no good when ur forceing air into the motor

stock gsr cams made 35hp more than Blox HSL cams.. we put some crower turbo cams in and it felt faster, but we never dyno'd it

Turbo cams are not what you want. gsr or itr cams work best. If you wanna switch em up try a gsr intake, and itr exhaust cam. I have run all three variations, and my motor liked the itr cams the best.

I always thought that supercharges usually don't like alot of overlap. In which case a turbo cam with more lift and less duration should keep the cyllinder pressures high yeilding you more mid end power. Then again jrsc's make plenty of mid end so maybe more top end is what your looking for. I don't know for sure but I would like to.

GSR Intake cam doesn't gain any peak HP over the Type R but will make more power in other parts of the power band. I don't have a sheet but there is someone on another board that dynoed them basically back to back on his 270whp JRSC B18C5.

He was running around 10 psi, on a b18c5 and an lHT intercooler. He gained a little power through the middle using the gsr in. itr ex.

Not a stock motor, just stock cams. It was making 14.8 psi with 185deg intake temps(for anyone curious). It was also a Endyn modded blower.

http://www.tuner-junction.com/....html -when he first put it in.
http://www.tuner-junction.com/....html There is the post about when he went back to the dyno with the GSR intake cam. As you can see.. didn't get to fully test it and now he's going 2.1L.

damn nice numbers so what you recommend to do is run intake gsr cam and type r on exhaust right? would that be a good setup power to the wheel or no?

If you have mechanical experience it's not hard(just a little cramped). The only way to learn is to just do it.
