If you know about tunings and ecu's please help here..
alright i jus need someone to clear some things up for me.. i want to get my car tuned with hondata on a p28.. i was talking to a local honda mechanic an i was telling him i want to do that and convert from obd0-obd1.. he said why would you do that.. u dont have nothing to tune.. my setup is a b16 motor, buddy cluh spec 3 cams, aftermarket valve springs, retainers, valves, intake, header, exhaust.. soon to be on car is intake manifold.. is what he said true and not worth doing that?...
my next thing is when i bought my car it cams with a pm6 ecu which is the stock crx ecu.. the boy before me had it chipped to rev it to 9k, i dont kno if the chip has any features.. my vtec is wired up to a rpm activated module by autometer, which i can pick where i want vtec to kick in by changing the pills.. which vtec doesnt kick hard at all.. the pm6 ecu has written on it in black marker B16 then under it 9K .. a friend of mine told me that it prolly has like b16 maps or was set up to be ran for a b16.. but my question is, is that even possible since it is a single cam ecu, non vtec... dont single cam ecu's have totally different timing, and fuel maps.. if you kno what your talking about please help me here.. i dont kno if i want to tune with a p28 or if it is just a waste for my setup or should i just go with a pm6 or pw0.. if you dont kno what your talking about please dont lead me in the wrong direction or give false info..
sorry soo long but let me kno whats good

Your local Honda mechanic is just that, a mechanic. I'd say you have something worth tuning, as running it on that stock PM6 ecu is a waste..
