i shift at 7k each gear.
speed 2nd gear@7k 60mph
speed 3rd gear@7k 90
speed 4th gear @7k 130mph or so

hmm i dont race but for daily driving i usually shift at 3k if my engine is still cold, otherwise around 4k, when im pushing it usually 5.5 or 6, and once in a great while ill bring it to the redline.

A lot of it depends on your transmission, too... in my old LS, I would shift at 2.75 - 3k, but with my new GSR (which has a Type R tranny) I shift around 4-5. I guess a lot of that is subconscious and the needle looks like it's in the same place it was when I had my LS. Things are just different when you have a 8200 redline instead of a 6800.
