Default Alt. Switched Power for Radio

My power wire for my radio is all sorts of fucked up and my radio just intermittently turns on and off. The ground is good (I metered both)...

Instead of tracing my power wire back and figuring out what's wrong with it what is another good source of switched power I can tap into for my aftermarket radio ?

I thought of using the heater unit power but I don't know how much juice I can flow through that circuit without blowing a fuse.

Thanks !

If your cig lighter does not have constant power when the vechicle is turbed off then that one will work too. There are many that you can tap into.

The cig lighter is all screwed up from the previous owner, they did somehting with the wiring...that was my 1st though. So does anyone know if it would be okay power/fuse wise to tape the heater controls for the radio ? I don't feel like blowing some random fuses.
