Neuspeed vs. TWM Performance
Ok so the Integra forums move ridiculously slow. And since this is partially about appearance (how visibly short the shifter is) I figured I'd give it a shot in here. This is for a DA.
Anybody have experience with either of these short shifters? I'm leaning more towards the TWM Stage 1 version
Stage 1:
- 1.5" height reduction
- 40% throw reduction
Stage 2:
- 3" height reduction
- 55% throw reduction
I'm thinking that 3" and 55% will be a little too extreme for me. But does anyone know how visibly short the Neuspeed is? Here's a link to both.

TWM Performance: http://www.twmperformance.com/...s.htm

They're both around the same price, what do you guys think?

I know someone did a review of the Stage 2 about 2 years ago, all the img links in his post are broken tho. He said only the **** was coming out of the boot it was so short.
Yea, i was just reading that thread. The guy also said that the shifter is waaay to short and grinds between shifts all the time....Im kind of against short shifters in general, and the only shifter i would ever get is the FLP shifter. however shifters that are low look really cool.

me too. screw a short shifter and spend your money else where or just get new bushings for your OE shifter.

Lol, i just like the feeling of the gears being close to eachother. Plus I think an aftermarket shift **** would look whack on a stock height shifter. Maybe I'm wrong?

good advice. honda gears are already short compared to other cars, with a set of nice bushing you'll get the best feel that no bs short shifter will get you.

I have a B&M for a DA and its great but i do feel the shifter causing problems i have a 3rd gear grind that i didnt have before. i thuogh it was just old. circa 1989
Just trim the top of your shifter and leave enough thread so you can screw the **** on. I understand you may be doing this for asthetics but if you want to do this for 'feel', then get a circuithero shifter extension in conjunction with a short shifter and it will feel alot better especially with the shifter being much closer to the steering wheel.
Also, you need to factor in that the bottom of the short shifter will hit your exhaust piping.

I have the TWM shifter on my Mazda 3, the height is noticably shorter, however the throw is only a little bit shorter. It was worth it though in my opinion, the stock throw was like an 18 wheeler.

Thats wierd, hrm..
I installed a B&M on my car, and my HORRIBLE 2nd gear grind doesn't rear its ugly head anymore.
The best short-shifter I have used, by far, is the skunk2. There isn't a big difference in height reduction, but the throw is reduced about 25-30% Not only that, but it feels a lot better due to the ball bearings. I had it on my old DA
