deck is on, speakers wired up, but no sound?
ight so i put on some tein springs in order to do that with my hatch since my speaker towers are in the way. i have to remove my speakers to get to my strut towers. so i took off my rear 6x9 speakers that i have ghetto rigged. after i have gotten everything back together when i was done. my sound does not work anymore. my deck is still able to turn on, but there is no sound comming from any of my speakers. im thinking the speaker wires that i ghetto rigged for each speaker touched and caused a short somewhere. im talking about the positive and negative wires for one speaker. what fuse would i check for this type of situation?
Make sure there are no speaker wires grounding out -- make sure they are connected to the speaker terminals and not "floating around" touching the chassis or anything. If they are all connected like they are supposed to be, make sure none of the speakers are blown and that none of the wiring is pinched/cut.
If any speaker wires are touching a ground it would cause this to happen. Try cutting the wires on the back of the deck going to each speaker one by one until it starts playing the rest of them and you've found the problem speaker.
