ITR tranny , 3rd gear grinding poping out when disengaging clutch.
I have had this problem ever since I went to the track. I blew out the top mainshaft bearing aswell. 3rd gear will not fully engage. When I put it in gear it doesn'r feel like it is fully selecting 3rd gear. when I et out on the clutch it grinds and pops out of gear. I was going to go in line and buy a new 3rd-4th gear sleave/selector/syncro set from acuraautomotiveonline. Is this all I need to purchase and does anyone else think it could be something elase besides the parts listed above?

There is never really telling for sure what is wrong in a transmission before popping it open.
Take it apart (rather, let someone else do it and diagnose it) then go from there

I took the case off. everything visually looks ok. I should probibly start taking things apart.
Check the synchro ring to gear clearance. It'll tell you how much the synchro braking material is worn. The specs are in the service manual.
You may also need to replace 3rd gear too.

I take it you have no HELMs manual? I would recommend getting one, or finding a friend who does. I can't picture in my mind the gear to synchro... so I'm of no help right now.

there's a ton of clearances you should check before putting everything back together. but that's just for peace of mind
