It on a 95 civic w/D16Z6 that has all the bolt on's and has VAFC II for tuning. Just wondering if it is worth the $130 or so from Skunk 2.

how could it not gain HP? Or is it to tune the bottom and/or top end? I though they were good for at least a few HP.

he is right, NONE will be gained, optimal cam timing is already set by the HONDA ENGINEERS that built the car. adjusting cam timing on a SOHC will just locate the powerband. dont waste the money.

Yeah, usually the more applicable to higher end builds, not just a VAFC and I/H/E.

A Y8 mani and JDM D15B cam will net you a few more HP points...not much but some. If you wanna bump your CR maybe get some 1st gen 'teg pistons and split the middle layer out on a Y8 head gasket. I wouldn't go much more over that, obviously boost is good....I'm not big into NA D building . Though the adjustable timing gear won't help your application any as it sits NOW.

are you asking if you would get power from boosting the car? Or if the cam gear would help if your after you boost the car? The cam gear will only help you a whole lot with a diffrent set of cams or maybe diffrent pistons.
