I Really Need Help
Okay, I've been trying to work out a few problems on my supercharged z6
it has an iritac idle which I tried to fix earlier (https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1904264) but no luck, now i messed with the screw on the throttle body, then the car gave code 3, which I haven't been gettingbefore, then I turned the screw all the way inward and the code went away, but now the car dies 5 seconds after it starts? If I give it gas it stays alive, but once I take my foot of the gas it dies, I installed the map controller for the supercharger earlier today, but it ran fine then, still with the eratic idle.
I would appreciate any kind of help possible
Thanks

its kinda been the same problem all along, something map related, ive had a few mechanics from honda-tech and some that I know from around look at it, all ive found out so far is that if one of the holes i the throttle body is covered the car idles perfect

Well, what is the hole from? Did you forget a sensor, or did you remove a vacuum nipple?

its the fast idle valve under your throttle body. its stuck open or close. take it out and adjust it or replace it with another one. it has 3 10mm bolts holding it on. its right under the throttle body. i think thats the problem

okay ill go try that now and let you know, if I replaced the throttle body would that work? Also why would the car just start dieing on me 5 seconds after it starts?

Re: (nicko360)
I figured out why the car was dying, the ecu wasn't grounded....
but I took the throttle body off, my friend has an F22 throttle body, will this work? it has a map sensor that mounts to the firewall I think. I could also get my hans on a B-series throttle body if necessary. What should I go with? I also think the problem is in the TPS sensor because when I unplugged it, the car ran better almost...

Re: (nicko360)
You dont need a new throttle body. For starters cover up that hole in your throttle body that is most likley causing a vaccum leak. Second check your fast idle valve. To do this:
1. Locate the 2 screws on the back of the throttle body(should be the only 2 there)
2. Completley remove one screw
3. Losen the other screw.
4. Swing the now open plate out of the way.
5. Tightent he disc located inside.
6. Put back together.

Re: (smileycvc)
I can't take it off, its like threaded instead of having a screw, there is just a metal stub sticking out on both sides. Its no problem for me to get another throttle body, hopefully that will solve my problem
