HELP asap! clutch wont disengage
I have a 99 civic si. When i push the clutch in, i have to push the pedal all the way down to the floor, and really push it against the floor to disengage it. And when i let it out, the clutch pedal doesnt come back up all the way! please help me out asap with what is goin on!! thanks...
Air in the lines, try bleeding the system. Look under the dash, make sure the peddle is not broken, usually only occurs with ef's because of the cable pressure though.
just replace the slave cylinder. they are pretty cheap from the parts store. Then bleed it and it should solve your problem.
aight, this wouldnt have anything to do with needing a new clutch at all would it? what would those "symptoms" be? thanks for the help guys
your clutch should be fine, symptoms of a dead clutch would be like you put it in gear and the car barely moves.
Your problem most likely lies within the hydrolic system. Look down by your clutch and make sure it doesn't have stuff leaking from it. If it doesn't just proceed to bleed the clutch lines. If the problem still persists, you might have to change out either the master or slave clutch cylinder.
