Default DC2R vs DC5R video Part 1 and Part 2 moved

I put both clips on my other server with more bandwidth. You can get them both here and download speedsshould be as high as 250Kb/s. I would prefer everyone right click on the link below and select save as. Thanks DB8GSR for showing us these.

How heavily modified are these DC2 R's in respect ot the DC5 R's. Since they are new I would assume that the DC2's are out perfoming since they are "highly" modified. Anyone agree?

Seems the Dc2's were stripped a bit too. Dont get me wrong, i much prefer the DC2's over the DC5's (MacPhereson Struts my @$$!) but i dont think they would outright be faster than the Dc5's on a track without some advantage.

I have a vid a home called "Best Motoring" volume 2 ... they test the DC5-R vs. the DC2-R at a test course, and have a chit chat with a Honda Engineer. Luckily for me the video is dubbed.

Consensus: They like the DC5-R a lot.

Anyone else seen it?

Good! Let them keep 'em then. I'd much prefer they simply update the 1.8L and continue as we were...

No offense to those who prefer the DC5 Platform.

Yeah, I don't know. I expected the new R to be faster. Who knows.

Yes, Gansan did the test on both platform, stock vs. stock, he preferred the DC5R because it was more predictable when taking high speed cornering. HONDA pretty much started the DC5R off from scratch unlike the DC2R which was based on the original DC2 but it was enhanced. DC5R is nowhere near when compared to a regular DC5 which is a big plus on HONDA in my book.
