If i have a red light comming from the little window on the side of my ecu...is that meen that my ecu is not working properly???

 

its working alright... count the number of time the light flashes and that number if your code thats its throwing.....theres something wrong with your car

Im sure it doesnt work properly...i have since 8 months now a fuel cut off at 3500rpm often...ive never notice the light comming from the ecu

 

And its a P28 w/ hondata s100...in a obd0 car with a obd0 to obd1 wiring convertion kit!!! No check engine light comming from the car...and ive change dizzy 3 time and it still wont stop!!!

Its ok thanks anyway bro Need help guys just tell me how to find out if my ecu is bad or not??? I will try a stock obd1 P30 in an hour from now

 

Does it act like it wants to stall, or like it's starving for air/ fuel @ 3500rpms? Damn, my car's doing the same thing!!!

Its like a fuel cut at 3500rpm...Its producing back fire from the exhaust in the same time that its fuel cut and the car has no power at all...

 

Fezzie has a point. Count the # of blinks ur ECU is throwing. ei. 1 long blink and 3 short blinks means 13, then you would look in a manual at ECU codes, and compare that with the code in ur book. I just found out that my dizzy is my problem. It threw 4 blinks, and I compared it to my manual and found my prob.

I have a 91 integra converted to obd1...the ecu dont throw cell its on my cluster...when i turn the key on the light comes out and stay there...no blink...and i have no cell in my cluster!!!
