Default some engine questions

what are the power gains for a level one regrind of the cam, and adjustable cam gear, and the h22 head on the f22 block? And is there a reason why people don't frakenstien them more, is it hard to do or the power gains small?

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by TreWatts &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">i dunno about the cams, but i've heard 180 to the wheels for a h22 head swap. </TD></TR></TABLE>

That's definitely not from JUST a head swap.

PirateMcFred got 183whp and 171wtq with a more modified setup. At this point, he was running and F23 block, bored over, using H22A4 pistons (larger displacement and higher compression), a modified H23 head, Crower stage 3 cams, RM springs/retainers, and I/H/E. Tuned.

He then got 200whp and 183wtq when he switched to a F22B DOHC head, using all of the previously mentioned mods, including cams. Additional mods included adjustable cam gears and MSD SCI ignition w/ Blaster SS coil. Both setups w/o PS, A/C, or BS belt. Tuned, of course.

Sam1am26 got 214whp and 195wtq using a stock F23 block, H23 VTEC head, and turbo at 6psi.

The thread for an H22 head on a F22 block is in the Accord FAQ, FYI.

Are you asking for a step-by-step guide/how-to now? Sorry to say, you're not going to find one. All the head swap threads have everything you'd need to know, but you'll need to extrapolate all the data yourself. That means you need to skim through the whole thread, not just the 1st post or 1st page. The 1st post was edited over and over again as a summary of the whole thread, while the rest of the thread shows his progress and what needed to be done. Trust me, all the info is there.
