i'll roller is currenly running 17x8 (35) i believe with 215 45 17's and has some rubbing issues

nothing major...

alot of clubrsx guys push the 8.5 width which is where i'm assuming this question is coming from if you see rims for sale...

with the right tire combo...and possible rolling of fenders it could "probably work"

yeah i would think 215 40's but with the width and offset i don't know if it would fit the civics.... i know that would work for the RSX's....

WHOA BUDDY!!!!! slow the horse... time out.. white flag

215/40 on 18x8.5 aint gonna work/look right.. can be done, but wouldn't be smart

you'd want something more along the lines of 225/40 or 235/40or35 (not sure about 18s really) but all i know is 215 is not wide enough for an 8.5" rim.. tires will be stretched and it will look dumb

what is the widest wheel you can go and what offset would you need to be at?

i had a del sol before my fg2 and it was slammed...i went from 195 to 205 size tires and had rubbing issues on 6.5 wheels with 35 offset

an 8.5 +37 should fit perfect, and you should be able to fit a 225 without rubbing unless you're really low. If you're pretty low you'll have to stretch a 215 (which will work without any problems) or roll your fenders.
