Default Will This ECU Be Ok For My 99 EX?

Ok everyone, I'm not going the half-assed way and I ran into some cash flow so I'll be actually purchasing a chipped ECU to tune and run my car turbo. I plan on purchasing it from xenocron. Here's the link to the ECU I am considering purchasing....

http://www.xenocron.com/produc...d-ecu

Now my question here is can I just purchase the converted ECU...or should I purchase the real p28 ECU...can I save the 30 bucks and buy a converted one and have no problem? The reason being is because I'll be purchasing the harness as well and if I can save 30 bucks out of the deal I figure why not but I wanted to check with the experts first because to me it seems why offer a REAL p28 ECU if a converted one is just as good....let me know please because I want to order this as soon as possible and thanks in advance.

going with a chipped ECU isn't really half ***. Crome is a great program. Not tuning your car would be VERY half-***.

The way its "chipped" they all end up being the same basically. But I'd prefer a P28 if I'm paying like $150-175ish. Because you can always just buy a P06 ($60) and chip it yourself (another $30) and save $75 if you know how to solder.

But Chris is really cool and tuned my car, so ask him if you can get a P28 rather than a P06.

there is zero difference between a converted P06 and a P28. IF you run off the chip.

The reason the P28 is offered... some people that run D16Z6s want the ability to switch from the stock MCU based maps in the ECU to a custom set of maps in a chip. Plus some people just like the idea of being able to say they have a P28.

Chris is very cool, if I didn't convert ECUs myself I'd buy one from him.

Great, deffinitely ordering one. Now my last question would be this...on my down pipe there is a hole with threads for the primary O2 sensor. There is a secondary O2 sensor that's down either near or in the cat. converter. I have heard the secondary O2 sensor is used only for emissions testing (which we do not have around here) if that is the case can I just take it out and not worry about it or am I going to need to drill a secondary hole for the second O2 sensor?

If you're going to be running a P28 (an OBD1 ECU), no you don't need a secondary sensor
