how to take off cluster needles????

Default how to take off cluster needles????

i got the si faces for my cluster but how do i take off the needles so i can take out the ex faces and put in the si faces?

Very carefully.. There should be a screw(s) on the back of the cluster I believe. I took mine off, but it's been a long time.

for my gas needle when i was putting my ricer indiglo gauges (they are no longer in), i pulled it out with my fingers. This was on a Del Sol.

i tried pulling it out slowly with my fingers on a dx cluster and the little things just snapped! they broke off completely

Might sound weird but i've used a fork to facilitate needle removal just slip it umder and pry carefully

DO NOT TAKE OFF THE NEEDLES!!!

They are very fragile and will break, trust me I have broken them. They are also calibrated specifically for that gauge and if you remove them you will have a hell of a time trying to get them back into the unit and actually have them read correctly again.

If you need new gauge faces for a reason, please buy the entire cluster for plug and play compatibility.

i agree i put white face guages into my 94 gmc sonoma and they included a divot tool like you would use in golf. my fuel and temp. never read right again

^^^totally agree, my guage lights wouldn't work and wiring got frustrating, so i stuck in ac autotechnic faces and no I didn't take the needles off. After lots of research I found what Skunk.Werks to be very true.

I was going to say the same thing...but no one seems to listen to me when I say not to do this.
