Default Knock sensor H22A

hello guys, 1993 Honda prelude H22A swap.

I am getting a code for knock sensor, when the car is cold, the car runs fine, hit vtec fine in all. After it warmes up, The CEL pops on, and its the knock sensor code. When CEL pops on the car runns like ***. ( JDM ECU) it also throws tracktion control code....

The car also has an up and down idle 900 1300 900 1300 up and down up and down
which sound to me like the AIC valve, but no code, so mabey its not that.

So im asking you guys to knowlage me on the knock sensor and my problem.

I remmeber hearing on some cars, deleteing the knock sensor actually gains a little power?

So I was thinking, mabey i can fix the problem by, selling my JDM ECU and buying an ecu from phareable.net and chip and telling them to delete knock sensor.

Suggestions, knowlage, advice, opinions all welcome.

Please help a fellow tuner out

when you get a knock sensor CEL, the ecu retards the timing to lower the cylinder pressure and it dumps more fuel to keep everything cooler. This is why you feel a power loss.

One way to delete the knock sensor is to get a p28 ecu and have it tuned to your motor with a program like hondata, crome...etc.

You will not gain any power just by deleting it.

The knock sensor is a common problem for some JDM h22a's.

My car was having the same symptoms as yours, I just forked out the money
and replaced the KS and it was night and day after that.

If you have money get p28 or p06 chipped with h22 basemaps and do away with knock. Just a suggestion but I understand money doesn't grow on trees. Then u can also block off the egr too.
