so 86 si prelude 242,000 owned by old people ran great well taken care of stopped it went in came out about ten minutes later and it wont start. checked timing belt, spark, new plugs, fuel, injectors, injector resister box, ecu for codes non. SO if it has timing, spark, and fuel. it should run right. OH and i made sure there was nothing wrong with the cam.

So i am stumped and so is all of my friends that have also looked at it.

yeah it has gas and even when i spray starting fluid down the intake still nothing oh and i checked the compression although a little low its dead even all the way accross @ 125psi even across all 4

 

Does it turn at all? Or is there no response when you turn the key?

 

it turns over fine and it will put every now and then but thats it

 

anyone????? could it be the ecu if it was bad though would it give spark and fuel??

 

check the main relay under the dash to the left of the steering wheel. when it gets hot or maybe if you had the heat pumping, the solder points on the relay disipate and the car wont start. Mine did this over the summer and all I had to do was re-solder the ends and everything has been fine since then.

 

accept when the relay goes bad that stops spark and gas right and i have all that

Now if the ecu were bad would it still get all that stuff gas spark injector pulse ECT...

 

well i tried a different working for sure ECU and it puts more than it did but still wont start

 

new dizzy? ignition switch?

 

see that the wierd thing it all works it gets spark fuel timing is on and it has compression. i tried new plugs,ecu,checked the cam to make sure it was not broke,checked the injectors to make sure they were pulsing and even a different injector resistor box.

So i ask if it has spark, fuel, timing, and compression shouldn't it start?
and it ran great before it was shut off came back about ten minutes later and this is what happened wont start??
