I just bought a 93 Civic CX hatchback which has a rear wiper. My question is where is the switch to turn it on? Its been driving me crazy. The front wiper controls on the steering column don't have it and the switches on the dash don't have it. What am I missing?

 

The switch will be on the same shaft that the front wipper is on. If it is not there then someone added the wiper and did not use the factory switch. You might have to source a wiper switch assy for a 92-95 civic si they were the only ones that came with a factory rear wiper.Time for a call to the dealer or a run to the junk yard to try and source the switch

Yeah, the factory switch is a collar that wraps around the end of the wiper stalk.

 

someone mightve just replaced the rear glass with one from a dx or si with a wiper. in that case the wiring wont even be there. you'd have to wire it up and add the switch if you want it to work

 

CX and VX do not come with rear wiper. Like mentioned, someone swap your original hatch glass with a hatch glass from a DX or Si. Not too sure if everything is prewired, but if it is you need to add the switch and ICU (integrated control unit) from a DX or Si.
